I've always been blessed with a roof over me,warm clothes and scarves to bundle up in when I have to go out in cold weather. But for many people out there, they don't have the finances to buy a warm hat, scarf,or cowl.
I'd like to ask that those ukulele players who know how to knit, crochet, and sew could perhaps start making these items to donate to the homeless and/or financially struggling. This would include items for children and infants. If you sew, flannel or polar fleece scarves and hats would be great. For the needleworkers, If you have spare yarn and could spare a couple of skeins, I'm sure that your handcrafted items would be greatly appreciated.
Check online to see where you can donate your items so they get to people who need them. You can check with places of worship to see if they have a donation program. Contacting homeless shelters is another possibility.
I've already knit a childs scarf I'll be donating and I'll be knitting more goodies for donation.
