Imagine my delight as I was wandering used ukuleles at an online auction site and I found this for $17.95 + shipping. I looked up the brand and then grabbed it. Only thing wrong with this Harmony made soprano was that one of the tuners had lost a screw......and some of the binding had broken off....which was conveniently hidden from view by the seller. Aside from that,it's fine.
Luckily for me,I had sent for 2 sets of replacement ukulele tuners,and in one of the sets I got 5 tuners instead of four. So-the extra went on the B&J until I can find a screw that will work for the original Harmony style tuner. The plastic fingerboard has spot on intonation,and it's become my #1 soprano. D tuning sounds wonderful on it,and as I'm helping out a cuatro player right now in advancing his musical knowledge,our instruments are tuned the same. New strings are in order for it and I'm wanting to go to a low A tuning on her.
