November......already???? It's been kinda hard to believe here where I am cause the weather is still in the upper 70's and it wasn't too long ago we were having a heat wave with highs in the 90's.
BTW it's National Gratitude Month and Native American Indian Month. And...... December will be here before you know it. How many of you have started playing carols yet? If you haven't,the time to get started is now! You still have plenty of time to get some Holiday tunes under your belt before the month ends. To help you out, here's a few handy hints, tho some may seem obvious. 1. Work on one song at a time! Don't scatter yourself. 2. If you can get a family member or friend to jam with you on these,so much the better. Motivation to learn a song is really put in high gear when you have someone learning it with you! 3. Pick Holiday tunes with no more than 3 chords. Don't allow yourself to feel pressured into perfection. Instead, focus on having fun with it and getting it to sound smooth. 4. Do not try to learn the whole holiday tune book! Pick a few of your faves and just go for that. And remember,if whoever is making the Thanksgiving feast doesn't need any help, why not sit nearby and treat them to some music? They'll probably appreciate being serenaded.
