The appearance of flappers. Art Deco. Ukulele first gaining popularity. Tenor banjos being one of the hottest things since sliced bread. And here we are,a century later. Ukulele has had it's ups and downs in the decades that followed but is still riding an amazing wave of popularity.
I'm betting that tenor banjo could make a big comeback this decade. I purchased one last year,a Goldtone AC-4,slightly used. First I strung it and played it as an Irish tenor, but then got an interest in Western Swing, blues, and swing jazz. So I switched back to viola tuning (CGDA) I'm learning, and finding the books for learning this instrument are pretty limited. That hopefully will change in the years to come.
So for this year,I'm going to focus the blog mainly on ukulele and tenor banjo and see what develops.
