I wanted to take a moment on this Christmas Eve morning to wish one & all a Very Happy Holiday,in whatever tradition(s) you celebrate it in.
In posting this,I'd like to plant an idea seed in the minds of my readers: I'd like for us all to very much be aware now & thru the upcoming year to spread LIght,Love,Mirth,and Joy. I'm sure you are aware of all the fears going thru people right now,especially since November. Folks are really feeding their fears and spreading it on social media like a huge virus. Daily I'm seeing posts about the darkest moments of history,how the world is allegedly going down the drain,etc.
It's important to realize fears are usually based on a yet to be formed future. People's imaginations run overtime and not in healthy ways. We need to help remedy this. As ukulele players,we can do this simply by sharing our playing & uplifting others thru it.
If you have friends on social media and they are constantly ranting about history repeating itself,do yourself a favor and quit following their feeds. (On FB you can remain friends but not see what they're posting)
Sadly,I've had to do this with one individual who has went into a mania about posting about his now being convinced that WWII is about to be repeated. In a paradoxical way,he's done more to bring to mind the darkest moments of that time by sharing historical videos showing the horrors of that era on a near daily basis than he has to promote global goodwill,love,and peace. Thoughts are things. Energy goes where attention flows.
So lets do ourselves all a favor and focus on compassion,love,mutual respect,and being the kindest people we can possibly be. We need to do this now,and through the coming years.
