Why World Ukulele Day? Why Not A Week?

    I think it's a wonderful idea,as yesterday was Groundhog Day and Superbowl Sunday.....which stole an awful lot of thunder from World Ukulele Day,at least here in the US.
         So I am declaring it an entire week of celebrating the uke from the 2nd till  next Sunday! Have jams,get togethers,teach others how to play and learn new to you songs and tunes. Celebrate. Add to your uke collection. (only if it's in your budget!) 
          Pretty sure we can start a movement this way. 
    I'm teaching beginning ukulele again,BTW and it's been a blast. One of my students is a lefty who plays lefty. That,for my right handed self,has been an enjoyable challenge. I have to go by what I'm hearing come from my student's uke instead of looking at their fretting hand. 
         And I'm learning some blues and things myself,just to expand my list of songs to play. And.....I'm finally singing while playing! That's a milestone for me.
