I "discovered" the American Banjo Museum recently in Oklahoma City, and in addition to free visual workshops, they give some awesome virtual tours! I thought you'd all enjoy some eye candy (and a little history) so watch this video by clicking here
So pretty much the entire globe is under quarentine due to the Corona virus. Personally, I haven't left my house since around the Spring Equinox. I'm not complaining....yes,I would love nothing more right now than to be able to dine out safely at either of my favorite restaurants. I know that day is coming, and it'll be great to be seated among other folks without worry of getting sick.
In the meantime,I wanted to pass along something that Deering banjo company is doing. They're asking folks to make videos of themselves playing banjo and share them on social media with the hashtag #banjoheals. Well,I thought it would be a kindly gesture to do the same on uke with the hashtag #ukuleleheals. Why not give people an uplifting musical moment? Don't worry about being perfect. Don't worry about being mind blowing. Just concentrate on spreading joy into somebody's day that more than likely is having a time dealing with being at home all the time. You might be the inspiration that gets them to either start playing uke,get back into uke,or even contribute their own video!
I started this blog on Blogger where it's been for several years-but it's gotten to be such a hassle logging in I decided to move it here to Weebly.
